What I do

Three ways to get a stalled project moving

Engagements run from a two-week diagnostic through to multi-year project leadership. Most start with a conversation about what is actually stuck.

01 / Delivery

Agile project management

Taking a project from a slide deck to something that ships. Governance people actually attend, a plan the sponsor can read in sixty seconds, and risks raised early enough to do something about them. Regulated environments and mixed agile-waterfall estates included.

  • Programme and workstream leadership
  • Regulatory and compliance change
  • Governance, RAID and reporting
  • Recovery of at-risk delivery
02 / Change

Digital transformation

Working out which parts of the operating model are worth changing, in what order, and what it will cost you to leave them alone. Platform selection, migration planning, and the unglamorous integration work between the systems you already own.

  • Target operating model enablement
  • Platform migration and upgrade
  • Systems integration and data feeds
  • Process and control redesign
03 / Build

Custom software development

Where an off-the-shelf product does not fit, a small team builds the thing that does. Scoped tightly, delivered in increments you can see, and handed over with documentation rather than a dependency on the people who built it.

  • Internal tools and workflow apps
  • Responsive web platforms
  • Reporting and MI dashboards
  • API and third-party integration

Running a smaller business?

Not everything needs a programme behind it. If you want a website that can actually be found, a process untangled, or a system two people can use without a manual, that is worth a conversation too. Same approach, scaled to what you need.

Ask about smaller work

How it works

Every engagement runs to the same four phases

Programmes fail in predictable places: unclear scope, governance nobody respects, and a handover that never happens. The sequence below is built to close those gaps in order.

01
2–3 weeks

Discover

Interviews with the people doing the work, not just the people sponsoring it. What the scope actually is, who has to say yes, where the real dependencies sit, and an honest read on whether the deadline is achievable.

  • Scope baseline
  • Stakeholder map
  • Delivery risk assessment
02
3–4 weeks

Mobilise

The plan on a page, the RAID log, and a governance forum sized to the decision it has to make. Roles named, budget tracked, and a reporting pack that fits on one side before the first sprint starts.

  • Plan on a page
  • Governance model
  • RAID log
  • Reporting pack
03
Ongoing

Deliver

Running the delivery day to day. Milestones tracked against the baseline, blockers escalated the week they appear rather than the month they bite, and a status report the sponsor can act on without a briefing call.

  • Milestone tracking
  • Escalation and recovery
  • Vendor management
  • UAT and go-live
04
2–4 weeks

Embed

The part most engagements skip. Run books written, the receiving team trained, benefits measured against what was promised at the start, and a clean exit rather than an open-ended retainer.

  • Run book and handover
  • Benefits review
  • Lessons learned

Track record

Delivered, in their own words

A selection of engagements across regulatory reporting, financial crime, wealth platforms and HR systems.

Financial crime · RBC Brewin Dolphin

AML and compliance transformation

Led a large anti-money-laundering and compliance transformation programme, managing a team of project managers and reporting to C-suite stakeholders including the CTO for Europe. Included compliance data feeds built on Seeburger managed file transfer.

Multi-PM programme · C-suite governance
Wealth platforms · Brewin Dolphin

Client-facing digital wealth estate

Project manager across the client-facing platform estate, spanning Objectway Eximius, MyBrewin, BITA Risk and WealthPilot. Delivered as responsive web, integrated with backend wealth platforms, authentication services and market data feeds.

Four platforms · Eximius upgrade delivered
Regulatory reporting · Deutsche Bank

COREP and FINREP delivery

Regulatory reporting change at a tier-one investment bank, covering COREP and FINREP submissions. The grounding in prudential reporting that makes later regulatory work considerably faster to scope.

Tier-one investment bank · Prudential reporting
HR technology · RBC

Workday HCM migration

UK-scope migration to Workday HCM, covering user acceptance testing, the ADP payroll interface and the decommissioning of SuccessFactors. Delivered alongside enablement of the wider target operating model framework.

UK scope · Payroll interface · Legacy decommission

Engagements listed were delivered on a contract basis. Firm names describe where the work was performed and are used for identification only; no endorsement is implied.

How the work actually runs

Three programmes, drawn end to end

Short silent walkthroughs of the operating processes behind the engagements above. Each runs about thirty seconds and builds up the full picture, with the regulatory control points marked as they appear.

Operating model · Asset and wealth management

The asset management operating lifecycle

From client origination through onboarding, investment management, dealing and execution, post-trade settlement and the reporting that comes out of the far end. The reference frame the other two sit inside: where mandates enter, where money and positions move, and which steps a regulator will ask about.

Integration · Post-merger

Post-merger integration in asset management

What has to be delivered between deal announcement and a single operating model: antitrust and change-in-control consents, day one readiness, client and product integration, then the target operating model itself. Benefits are realised at decommissioning, not at announcement. Nothing is saved until the legacy platform is switched off and its controls have moved.

Platform migration · HR and payroll

Consolidating employees onto one HR platform

Migrating multiple legacy HR estates onto a single global Workday platform without missing a payroll: discovery and design, data migration and protection, parallel runs and testing, then cutover. Adoption decides the benefit. A platform that managers avoid leaves the organisation running two processes while paying for one system.

These describe generic industry process, not any client's implementation. No confidential material, system detail or client data is shown.
